Terms & Conditions

We want every journey with SDL Chauffeurs to be smooth, safe and stress-free — for you and for us. To help make sure of that, here's a friendly rundown of the terms we work to. Nothing here is designed to catch anyone out; it's simply so everyone knows where they stand.

• We ask that you keep an eye on your own luggage and belongings during the journey — we're unable to take responsibility for anything lost or damaged in the vehicle.
• Your journey will always be carried out by SDL Chauffeurs or by a trusted, known chauffeur from within our own network — so you can be confident you're in safe, familiar hands, whoever is driving.
• We always plan to get you there in good time, but occasionally traffic or road conditions beyond our control can cause delays, so we're unable to guarantee against a missed flight or appointment in these circumstances.
• Travel booked for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve or New Year's Day may carry a 100% surcharge, or a minimum charge of £70 — whichever works out higher.
• To keep every journey comfortable for all our passengers, smoking and eating are not permitted in any of our vehicles, in line with Elmbridge Vehicle Licensing Authority requirements.
• Local, minimum-distance journeys are charged at our minimum booking rate of £15.00.
• Waiting time: charged at £60 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments of £15.00.
• Congestion charge and tolls: if your journey takes us through the London Congestion Charge zone and it can't be avoided, or we haven't had enough notice to leave the zone in time, this will be passed on to you — the same applies to any tolls on the return leg.
• Pricing: our quoted prices are based on a luxury executive saloon. Estate cars are charged at an extra 25%, and MPVs (5–7 seats) at an extra 50% of the saloon rate.
• Cancellations: plans change, and we understand that — please just give us as much notice as you can if you need to amend or cancel a booking, so we can rearrange things on our end.
• Fully licensed & insured: every vehicle in our fleet is licensed and insured for private hire, and every chauffeur is vetted, so you can travel with complete peace of mind.
• Your information: any personal details you share with us are used only to manage your booking and deliver our service — we never sell or pass them on to third parties.
• Above all, you're the reason we're here. We'll always do what we can to keep you happy and make your journey as easy and enjoyable as possible.
